Global Lead - Purpose of Business

Background

A committed generalist, I’ve spent my career so far in sustainability & ESG consultancies: designing and embedding sustainability strategies in global businesses, developing comms plans to effect real behaviour change, and providing technical advice to C-suite, investors, and governments.

Through this journey, I’ve been most interested in what happens at the intersection between the public and private sectors, when you take the commercial, geopolitical and human pressures into account – and how diplomacy, convening, and alliance-building can generate change at scale.

I studied languages at undergrad, reading French & Spanish at Cambridge and spending a year in Paris. More recently I completed an MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial, where I specialised in multilateral climate negotiations and the human impact of climate displacement, conducting my field research in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I’m really excited to be bringing all of this together in the Purpose of Business team at Forum.

My dream project

I love working on projects that bring together people with vastly different perspectives, priorities, and needs – from global leaders to community organisations – and finding a way for them to work together, and for solutions to be found and activated. I’d love to do this with a focus on intersectional environmentalism, making sure that challenges are considered through a climate justice lens.

What floats my boat outside work?

As a Londoner, I’ve been raised on a diet of theatre, music, and art – it’s what I spent most of my free time doing while at home! Particular fan of jazz and electronic music, so always looking for the next great artist or venue. Outside London, I love a mountain and a bit of wild swimming – some time to disconnect and get stuck into a good book (essay collections / magical realism) – and getting to know this world we live in.
