Mayuri Ghosh

Mayuri currently heads the Climate Resilience & Sustainability efforts of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) (part of the Clinton Foundation), as a Senior Director. She leads strategy development, and partners with organizations from business, government, philanthropy and social impact, committed to taking meaningful actions in tackling the climate crisis. Key focus areas include clean energy transition, decarbonization of buildings and transport, disaster risk preparedness response & recovery, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity and nature-based solutions. Through her work at CGI, Mayuri aspires to create an enabling environment for climate innovation, financing, and policy levers, while increasing awareness and strengthening partnerships to address adverse impacts of climate change on economic inclusion, health equity, humanitarian response, and women & girls’ equality. Mayuri is also the Co-Chair of Clinton Foundation’s DEI Steering Committee. 

Before her tenure at CGI, Mayuri led strategy, thought-leadership, and public-private partnerships for the Future of (Sustainable) Consumption at the World Economic Forum (WEF) for a decade. She developed insight reports and white papers on health & well-being; environmental sustainability; new business and operating models (including future of work); and fast-growth markets (with a strong focus on Asia). Prior to the WEF, Mayuri was engaged in research projects at Columbia University’s Earth Institute, where she focused on agriculture and industrial water usage and sustainability. She also did brief consulting assignments with UNICEF, UNDP, an NGO in Turkey, and a government-agency for innovation in Kazakhstan.  

Mayuri previously worked in the private sector in India in the technology and consumer goods industries. She holds a Bachelor in Engineering and MBA degrees from India, a Master in International Affairs from SIPA at Columbia University, and another Master in Global Leadership as an executive program from the WEF in partnership with Columbia, Harvard, INSEAD, Wharton, and China-Europe International Business School.
